Dr. Yani Zdravkov

Dr. Yani Zdravkov was born on August 17, 1979. in the town of Haskovo. He graduated medicine at the Medical University - Sofia in 2004. He has been specializing in ophthalmology since 2005. and acquired a degree in ophthalmology at MU - Sofia in 2009. He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Union, the National Glaucoma Association, the Union of Ophthalmologists in Bulgaria and the European Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS). He specialized in the Hospital of San Giovanni-Rome, Italy under Prof. Marco Villani; at the Clinical Center-Ljubljana, Slovenia under Prof. Marko Havlina; University Eye Clinic - Prague, Czech Republic under Assoc. Prof. John Kim. Regular participant and presenter in Bulgarian and international conferences and symposia. He is the author of a number of articles in national and international ophthalmological journals.

Since 2011 practices at the University Hospital "Alexandrovska", Clinic of Ophthalmology, a specialized department related to diabetes, inflammatory and vascular diseases of the eye, headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Tanev MD. Professional interests are focused on diagnosis, conservative and surgical treatment of diseases of the anterior segment of the eye (cataracts, glaucoma, inflammatory conditions, neoplastic formations, trauma, etc.). Since 2013 He is also a full-time assistant at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Sofia.
